wild folk mag

Wild folks welcome! Wild folk mag is a free digital magazine sharing stories and artwork of reconnecting to your wildish nature. This is a space to be heartened, belonging to a community of like-minded folks and being challenged by new ideas. Imagery of all kinds is welcome for submission, ranging from: photography, painting, cross-stitching, gardening, homesteading, baking, needlecraft, pottery, illustrations, design, mixed media, collages, etc. Editorial submissions are also encouraged, such as poetry, passion projects or essays. As long as your submission is telling the story of your journey to connecting with your most embodied, rooted self, we welcome it.

We especially welcome under-represented folks to submit their stories for feature.

Arms, hearts and minds open, let’s get rooted together.

Submissions

Guidelines:

To be considered for feature, you must be submitting your own original work.

For photographic/visual submissions, you may submit up to 10-20 images in JPEG format in 300 DPI, at least 2500 pixels on the longest side, in sRGB color profile, and include a title of the artwork if applicable, plus all team credits and username handles for work to be properly attributed.

For editorial/written submissions, a word.doc or .docx is preferred, between 250-500 words (with the exception for shorter poetry pieces), plus include a title for your work if applicable.

Regardless of the type of submission, a Dropbox, Google Drive or some kind of downloadable online gallery with high resolution downloads enabled and without password protections are preferred.

Exclusivity is not required, but preferred. If you’ve submitted these specific works/ideas elsewhere, please be sure to mention it with your submission. If the works you’re submitting took place at a workshop or retreat, please be sure to include that in credits.
